- Extremely high tear resistance due to embedded PE fabric.
- Can be used as a roof protection film, sarking membrane and wind barrier in façade structures.
- PP top fleece protects the membrane against damage and reduces the risk of slipping so the membrane can be walked on easily.
- Fire behaviour in accordance with EN 13501-1 -> E
- Normally flame-resistant, in line with DIN 4102 – B 2
- Guarantees total protection against condensation when combined with an interior vapour retarder or vapour barrier with an sd value ≥ 2 m.
- Full fill rafter insulation: When WÜTOP® Quadro roof protection film is used, no ventilation layer is required between the heat insulation and the membrane. As a result, the entire rafter height can be used for heat insulation.
- Vapour-permeable coating: Stops rain, dust and blown snow, but allows water vapour to easily penetrate from the room interior.
Not suitable for slate roofs.
DIN EN 13859-1
Meets the requirements of the ZVDH (German Central Association of the Roofing Trade) product data sheet for class UDB-A/USB-A.
Datasheets(X)
When used as a roof protection film, WÜTOP Trio/Quadro must be laid starting from the bottom, parallel to the eaves, under slight tension and without sagging. When laying on formwork, the membrane must be rolled over the formwork parallel to the eaves and starting from the bottom.
WÜTOP Trio/Quadro is stapled to the back of the rafters in the upper third of the overlap using a hand-held stapler or manual stapler and immediately fixed in place using counter battens. Installation without counter battens is carried out at your own risk.
During installation, a minimum overlap of 10–15 cm must be provided (marking stripes). If the regulation roof gradient is undershot (by a maximum of 6°), the membranes must be overlapped by at least 20 cm and taped together using a suitable adhesive tape (Eurasol or Euradop).
Vertical overlaps must always lie on a rafter and must be sealed using a suitable adhesive tape.
Run the membrane up the sides of openings (chimneys, roof windows, plumbing ventilation points etc.) and create a watertight seal (install membrane gutter).
For roofs with full fill rafter insulation, WÜTOP Trio/Quadro can be laid over the roof ridge (minimum overlap 20 cm). With back-ventilated systems and with non-insulated or only partially insulated roofs, the last membrane ends at least 5 cm from the ridge. In this case, ventilation must be ensured (technical data sheet 3.3.2 on thermal roof insulation).
Large areas of damage to the roof protection film must be repaired using patches of original film and adhesive tape. Minor damage can be repaired using adhesive tape alone.
The roof covering must be completed at the latest 8 weeks after laying WÜTOP Trio/Quadro to prevent UV damage.
There is a risk of water penetration on lower gradient roofs and in extreme weather conditions (driving rain, prolonged periods of rain etc.), especially in the areas of the counter battens and overlaps.
Therefore, it is advisable to bond overlaps and/or seal the counter batten area (e.g. using butyl tape).
WÜTOP Trio/Quadro is not emergency roofing, i.e. it does not fulfil the function of a roof covering. Therefore, the membrane must be additionally protected with a PE film in extreme weather conditions (driving rain etc.).
The entire roof structure must be constructed in line with the applicable regulations and guidelines of the German Central Association of the Roofing Trade for the roof protection film and sarking membrane to function correctly. In particular, the technical regulations for tiled roof coverings and the technical data sheet on sub-roofing, underlay membranes and roof protection films must be observed.
